Use inspirations from the sea to decorate your house.
If you find the sound of ocean waves soothing and coastal colors tranquil, you may want to decorate your home in a beach theme. You can easily bring a little of the ocean and its serenity to every room in your house.
Instructions
1. Accent your home with items such as a white-framed mirror, a picture of an ocean view, a decorative container filled with artificial sea grass, or ocean-blue-and-mint-green candles placed on a white or glass-top accent table.
2. Paint the walls an ocean blue or green, or paint them the color of coastal sand. Using the pale colors of seashells is another option.
3. Implement fabrics (whether bedding, window treatments or towels) with seaside designs and colors. These could include seashells, fish, ocean colors or nautical prints or colors.
4. Paint or buy furniture in light colors and natural materials such as wicker or birch.
