Create Virtual Rooms Inside A Website

My avatar in Vivaty.

With the advent of Second Life, Gaia and other online communities where you can literally live a second life in your own virtual world, many people are wanting to create virtual rooms for their websites, which will make them more interactive with their visitors. There are a few options to creating virtual rooms that you can put on your website. The best one, which is free, is Vivaty. Here is create virtual rooms in a website.

Instructions

1. Go to www.vivaty.com and select "Launch Vivaty" from the menu on the right. This will take you to a screen that will help you download the software. You may get a bar at the top of your screen asking if you're sure you want to do this. The software is spyware, free and safe and runs only in your web browser or on your website.

2. Register. Make sure you register-this will give a chance to choose an avatar and have your own scene. Your avatar and scene come with a bunch of free stuff that you can then customize, including clothing for your avatar and things for your scene. You customize and change your avatar by clicking on "My Stuff" on the menu at the bottom of the screen. There will be an Avatars button to change yours. Also, this will show you everything you have in your scene, and you can shop for other things, several of which are free. Even if they aren't, you are gifted with a certain number of points when you register that you can use to buy things. Also, whenever you visit scenes, you earn more points.

3. Customize your scene by purchasing things you want for it and selecting those things, which are free, as well. You can edit the color scheme and move objects around in your scene by clicking on the little icon on the bottom menu that has a large gear and a small gear. This will bring up the edit menu, a long bar that pops up on the left that lets you perform editing actions.

4. Click on "Share" on the menu bar at the bottom and then "Embed." This will allow you to copy and paste the code for your virtual room on your website, blog or even Facebook page. To add more than one virtual room to your website, simply visit other scenes you like and then share them as you did with your own.
