The Very Best Fresh paint Colors For Any Living room

Choose a paint color that will not clash with your furniture.

Because the den is a public room where you spend time with your loved ones and guests, it's important to decorate the room in such a way that it seems inviting and homey. The paint that you choose to decorate this room with will go a long way toward creating cozy, warm feelings. While you choose a color, remember that it's important to select a paint that will match a variety of different furniture styles and colors. This way, your walls will not become outdated as you update your furniture collection throughout the years.

Beige

Beige is a very light brown with hints of gray. This color is the ultimate neutral--suitable for matching with classic hardwood floors or light colored carpets. Whether your furniture is comprised of cool blues, warm browns or soft creamy colors, nearly everything will match with beige.

Gold

Gold is a warm color--meaning, it will convey feelings of cheerfulness and coziness. Warm colors often look best with other warm colors--so if your furniture is mostly gray and blue you may want to reconsider. Gold paint matches very well with warm browns, muted reds and copper. Cool colors may be used in small doses around the room as an accent.

Sage

Sage is not really a neutral, it's a gray-green. However, this color still works well with a variety of other colors including grays, gray-browns, cream colors, khaki, beige and other greens. This paint color will work best with beige carpet or natural hardwood floors, canvas-colored furniture and lots of fresh, natural lighting. For your curtains, consider soft light gray cotton.

Ivory

Ivory isn't the most exciting color in the world, but it's a solid choice if your room is an eclectic combination of a lot of bright colors and you're worried about competition from your walls. It's also a sophisticated complement to black colored furniture. Try to default to ivory only if you have a good reason to, and not because you just couldn't think of anything else. Ivory can seem generic or thoughtless under the wrong circumstances.
