You can identify painter's tape by its blue color.
You can drastically alter the appearance of the interior of your truck by coating it with the appropriate paint. Before you begin, you should consider a critical point. Truck interiors are composed of vinyl, a nonporous material that will not accept common types of paint. If you want the new finish to last, you must apply a special kind of paint, specifically engineered to bond to vinyl surfaces. In addition, you must carefully and meticulously cover areas you do not want painted, or you may end up with permanent over spray stains.
Instructions
1. Lower the truck's windows.
2. Clean the truck interior with plain dish soap, using a coarse sponge. Rinse the interior with damp rags and dry it with clean towels.
3. Cover all areas within the truck you do not want painted with masking paper and painter's tape. Work meticulously and slowly to ensure that each area is covered, or you may end up with permanent stains.
4. Put on a respirator.
5. Apply vinyl spray paint to the truck interior. Maintain a distance of eight inches between the interior surfaces and the spray nozzle at all times. Wait four hours before touching the interior of the truck.
