1. Measure the dimensions of your child's bedroom and record them on paper. Measure the length, width and height of all four walls, including any architectural indents or extra space. 5. Place virtual furniture in the bedroom using the dimensions of your child's furniture. If you're using a furniture store's tools, you may have to substitute your child's furniture with something similar offered by the furniture store. Drag and drop the furniture around the room until you are satisfied with the layout.
6. Add paint, wallpaper, carpet color or other design elements if you're using an advanced design website. Playing with different colors can help you and your child choose color schemes or themes. Most advanced websites have software that allows you to see the room in 3D and swivel the angle to view the entire room.
