4. Go to your local paint or hardware store, armed with your color wheel selections, online color matching results, and a sample of your bedding if possible (a pillowcase, for example). Pick out two or three finalist wall colors by matching paint samples to the colors you picked at home and holding your bedding next to them to see how the colors interact. Ask a sales associate if you can purchase paint samples or small cans for color testing purposes.
5. Paint a small section on each of the walls in your bedroom in each of your sample colors. After the paint dries, observe how the colors look at different times of day when the light hits them.
