Make Your Own Camoflauge House Footwear For Males

The man in your life might be more likely to wear slippers inside the house if he had some that suited him. It's easier than you might think to create a pair of slippers that not only will he wear but that he will enjoy wearing. This article will explain create your own camouflage house shoes for men.

Instructions

1. Buy a pair of the simplest white slippers or shoes you can find. The simpler and sleeker the design of the house shoe is, the easier this project will be. Shoes that are made of a plain canvas material will also work.

2. Find an acceptable camouflage pattern from a magazine or the Internet. Another good visual resource would be any Army clothing you have.

3. Transfer the outline of the pattern onto the transfer paper and then onto the shoe. If you draw well, don't bother with tracing, just skip to Step 5.

4. Draw in the outline with a pencil. Mark different sections with what color you are going to use where. Alternate between Army green, gray and olive green. No color should overlap the other. Stop and examine each slipper for any mistakes before continuing.

5. Fill your camouflage design in with the paints you have chosen. Using a small paint brush, carefully paint in between all the pencil markings you made in Step 4. Let the slippers dry to the touch.

6. Trace the outline once again, using only the black fabric paint. Carefully separate each color with a black line. Many fabric paints come in a bottle with a tip to make fine line painting easier. You can also use a fine tipped paint brush to finish the job.

7. Let the fabric paint dry per the manufacturer's instructions. When the paint is thoroughly dry, spray the shoes with a fabric sealer. Let dry.
