Fresh paint Chocolate Apple Colors

Painting incorporates many different techniques and mediums. Oil, acrylic, and water color paints are the most common used by contemporary artists. Painting lifelike objects or "still life" requires skill and knowledge of different painting applications. To imitate the colors of objects such as candy apple a painter must have a basic knowledge of mixing paint to achieve a desired color or hue. This knowledge is summarized in color wheel dynamics, and is a tool widely used by artists to mix colors together to create many different shades and variations of specific colors. With a few simple steps anyone can paint a candy apple color.

Instructions

Painting Candy Apple Colors

1. Mix one gallon of red paint with six ounces of black paint. This will produce a dark red color. If you desire a lighter candy apple red, then substitute black with white paint.

2. Add four ounces of pearlescent mineral powder to the mixed paint and stir it in vigorously for about two minutes. Cover the paint container and then shake the paint for another minute.

3. Allow the paint to settle for about five minutes and then check for smooth consistency. Add two ounces of red paint back into the mixture and one cup of water. This will brighten the paint to a brilliant candy apple red color and reduce clumping of the pearlescent powder.

4. Mix the paint and shake again thoroughly for about two minutes. Allow the paint to settle for at least 10 minutes before applying to a surface.

5. Apply the paint using an airbrush or paint spray gun for best results. Use a thin starting layer and allow it to dry before applying a second coat. Ensure that the coats are thin because paint containing pearlescent or metallic minerals tends to drip or run
