Wondering remove mold from stucco? Stucco home exteriors are commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions, where it's very common to find mold on house exteriors due to the heat, humidity and frequent rains. Mold on stucco finish may look black or brown or even red and orange. It's commonly mistaken for dirt, but unlike dirt, mold on stucco won't wash away with the hose. It's fairly easy to clean mold from stucco if you use the proper method. Instructions
1. Rinse dirt and loose debris from the stucco home exterior using a garden hose with sprayer attachment. When finished, turn off the water supply and remove the sprayer attachment.
2. Mix a solution of 50% water and 50% bleach in a large bucket to create a solution to kill mold on stucco.
3. Don rubber gloves and a face mask to protect the hands from the bleach and to protect the lungs from mold spores.
4. Soak the sponge in the bleach and water solution for killing mold and sponge it onto the moldy stucco
5. Wait for approximately 30 minutes to allow the homemade solution to kill mold. You can use this time to reapply the mold killing solution to areas of stucco with lots of mold growth and unsightly mold stains.
6. Attach the power washer to the garden hose and plug it in or fill it with gasoline if the power washer model uses gas instead of electricity.
7. Turn on the water supply for the power washer that will be used to remove mold from stucco siding of a home.
8. Put on protective goggles or protective glasses to shield the eyes from debris that may become airborne while removing stucco from stucco with a power washer.
9. Turn on the power washer and power wash the areas of moldy stucco. The mold was killed by the homemade mold killer solution; it now must be removed by the power washer.
10. Allow the stucco to dry for 24 hours once the mold is removed from the stucco. The stucco must be completely dry before proceeding to the next step, so if it rains, you must wait approximately 18-24 hours before proceeding.
11. Get exterior paint of the same color as the area that was power washed to remove mold from stucco and touch-up areas where loose paint was removed by the power washer.
