If you want to save money, you can create your own estimate form instead of paying a printing company to create one for you. You can set up your estimate form in either a word processing or spreadsheet program. Once you create an initial template, you can save it to use for all of your future jobs.
Instructions
1. Start a new document. At the top of the page, you may want to print "Estimate" in bold lettering. Under this, you should print your company's contact information, such as company name, address, phone number and website.
2. Insert a table in order to include free space in order to fill in customer information. Include a spot to place customer name, address, phone number and date. Also, leave room for a description of the vehicle if the estimate you are making is for auto repairs.
3. Create another table below the customer information fields. Include spaces to fill in relevant categories for the estimate. As a minimum, each line will have a space to print job description and estimated cost. For construction and auto jobs, you may want to include parts and labor costs as additional categories.
4. End the estimate form with a breakdown of the total cost of the project. Include a space where you will sign and date the estimate form. Any disclosures are also usually added at the bottom of the estimate form. Save the finished template or print out copies of the form.
5. Find free estimate form templates. You can also find free estimate templates online that you can use to make a blank form. For example, access free downloads from the Microsoft Word Templates website.
