You can create free neon signs.
Neon signs are popular advertising displays for places such as bars, restaurants and hotels. The bright lights can add an interesting touch to any decoration and have also been used in holiday lighting shows and for nightclubs. Commercial neon signs are available on profile-customization websites that offer free custom signs. These sites use neon-sign generators. Creative artists can also design their own glowing neon signs using the Adobe Photoshop graphics editing program.
Instructions
1. Use GlassGiant.com to make your custom neon sign. Select from nine colors and input text for the sign's three lines. Choose a brick wall, rock wall or another color for the background. Choose either a full-size sign or small square for your MSN Messenger page below the neon generator. Click the "Make Sign" button when finished. Right-click on the picture and select "Picture Save As" to save it to your computer.
2. Create a sign using Adobe Photoshop. Type the text for your sign using a bold font. Fill the background with black. Select the first icon at the bottom of the Layers palette to access layer styles. Choose the stroke style and make sure the sign's size is 35. Center your sign's position, choose gradient as the fill type and "shape burst" for the style. Bring up the gradient editor and create a gradient with black edges. Leave the bright color at 25 percent and 75 percent and keep it white in the middle. Add new color stops by clicking at the gradient's bottom edge. Access the outer glow layer style and select a color similar to your gradient's. Make the opacity low and the Spread and Size numbers high.
3. Go to FreeMySpacelayouts.com. Input your text in the neon generator section. Choose the color you want your sign to glow from the "Glow Color" selector box in the generator's top left corner. Click "Preview" to see how your sign will look. Choose "Generate and Copy Code" when you are finished to copy and paste the sign code to your blog or a social networking site.
