2. Paint the home's shutters, porch and window trim white.
3. Reflect the colors of the surrounding sand, sea, sky and grass on interior walls. Choose pastel colors, and paint each room a different color to keep the atmosphere casual and fun.
4. Paint interior doors, window trim, cabinets, moldings and mantels bright white. A gloss or semigloss white will be easy to clean.
