Designing your dream house online can give you a better idea of exactly what you're looking for without the risk of making mistakes or doing something you'll regret later. With the right online software, design your own dream house for free online with absolutely no downloads. Complete the design process in a matter of minutes.
Instructions
1. Visit the 3D Architect Studio website. Allow the screen to load. Click "Skip Intro" at the bottom of the screen. Do not click "Start."
2. Click on "Design Studio." Find the link to the right of Frank Lloyd Wright's character. Allow the next screen to load.
3. Click "Enter Design Studio." Install Adobe Shockwave if prompted. Allow the game to load the tools. This may take a moment depending on your connection.
4. Click on "Begin your Design." Take note of Wright's hints. These will be popping up at different times to help you along you way. Click to learn more about clients or architects or simply click "Continue."
5. Choose the first client who shows up. Clients will not matter as you are designing the home you desire, not what they desire. Click "No, choose location next" when asked if you'd like to add someone else.
6. Exit Frank Lloyd Wright's tips by clicking "Continue."
7. Choose a location where you'd like to build your dream house. Read more about the locations underneath the image.
8. Take note of Wright's tips again. Click "Continue."
9. Choose the floor plan. There are many to choose from. Click on the House Height tab to choose the house. Do the same with the Exterior Materials and Roof tabs. Click on "Continue: Design Interior."
10. Click "Continue" on Wright's tips once more. Select the "Walls" tab on the right panel. Draw walls in the house to separate each room. Use the erase tool to correct any mistakes. Do not place doors in areas where you want open entry ways. Click on the "Rooms" tab and drag the label to each room.
11. Click on the "Walls" tab again. Click on '"all Coverings." Choose a color or design for each room of the house. Take the paintbrush and drag it along the walls of the rooms. Don't forget the backs of the walls as well. Do not paint the outside of the house. Each room can be a different color. Switch to 3D View and remove the roof to see the paint in the rooms. Switch back to Plan View when you are finished.
12. Select the "Floors" tab on the right panel. Choose flooring for each room. Take the mouse to each room and click and drag to add the flooring the the room. View the room in 3D to see how the flooring looks. Switch back to Plan View.
13. Click on the "Openings" tab to add doors and windows. These can be previewed in the bottom of the right panel. To add them to your house, click and drag them. They must be placed on walls and rotated if needed.
14. Click the "Furnishings" tab. Browse through the different furniture items. Click and drag them to add them to your house.
15. Click on "Continue: Landscaping" after you have finished adding furniture. Add plants to the outside of your house by clicking the plant and dragging it to the yard. Click on "Continue: Tour House" after you've finished adding plants.
16. Tour your dream house by changing view by clicking and holding the mouse while moving left or right. Walk into the house using the arrow keys.
