What Color Offers Would Be Utilized For Beach Style

Beach paints are simplistic, using a small range of colors.

The trick to designing beach-style d cor is to consider what colors are common on the shore, and selecting your favorite aspects of it. Beach-style d cor is suitable anywhere, from decorating a home on the ocean to the bedroom of your mountain cabin. Use wall, ceiling and trim paints to express and display your favorite tones of a beach color scheme. Look at several pictures of beaches you enjoy for further beach d cor ideas.

Sands and Rocks

Represent sand and rocks surrounding a beach with paint colors ranging from off-white to tan in color. Look at a picture of your favorite beach and observe the tone of the shore that hugs the ocean. Consider painting a wooden floor in beach sand color to imitate the image of walking along the coast. If you are painting the walls of a room or home, use a beach sand tone along the lower 1/4 of the surface to represent a sandy horizon line.

Water and Sky

Select paint to portray water and sky. Use a deep blue paint on the ceiling to set the feeling of a crisp, blue sky overhead. Painting the walls with a sea blue will give the sense of staring out over a calm ocean. If you enjoy painting more artistically, you can use different tones of blue to paint waves of the ocean on your wall.

Clouds and Driftwood

Portray clouds and weathered driftwood with the use of white to gray paints. Painting a ceiling with a brilliant white, paired with blue walls, will create the illusion of a calm, overcast day on the shore. Light grays on the walls and furniture will trigger thoughts of darker clouds that accompany a storm, as well as driftwood washed up on the shore.

Plants and Sunsets

Use accent colors, such as green, to represent palm trees and other plant life, or orange, to represent a setting sun. Painting the trim of a wall, or furniture, within a room with these accent colors will add brilliance to beach d cor. Select greens that match the plant life around your favorite beach scenery and find a spot for them within the paint design. Consider painting the trim along the ceiling of a wall with sunset-themed colors.
