Develop A Dream House On The Pc

Computer software enables users to virtually design their home, before construction even starts.

Building a house from the ground up can be both intimidating and confusing at times, especially if you have no idea what you want out of your dream house, and you can't first actually see it.

Computer programmers have developed software for those wanting to design their own homes. Users are able to build floor plans and 3-D models of what exactly they want their dream house to look like.

Instructions

1. Select a software program. One of the best architectural programs that suit both beginners and advanced users is the TurboFloorPlan 3D Home and Landscape Pro by IMSI Designs.

This program does not require users to have any experience in computer imaging or construction, and enables them to quickly design and view their dream house.

Purchasing this software directly from the IMSI website will cost you around $100 as of 2010, while other auction-type sites sell it for around $25.

2. Install the software. After your software has arrived, or you have instantly downloaded it to your computer, it is time to design your dream house.

The TurboFloorPlan allows you to search through their available floor plans, or create your own. Once you have decided on a floor plan, you can add customized furniture and cabinets, pick out colors, place lighting, decide on textures and paint your walls.

When you are finished designing your home, the software allows you to view your model in 3-D. It also has a resource that will give you tips on design your house that can reduce your future energy bills.

3. Design your yard and landscaping. TurboFloorPlan allows users to create their outdoor living space by adding professional-looking landscaping, patios, sheds, pools, fences, pathways and over 2,000 different types of plants and flowers.

4. Contact a home building contractor. When you have designed your dream house, you can print or email your designs to your chosen contractor. The designs are submitted as both flat blueprints and 3-D models, making the transition from computer screen to reality as easy as possible.
