Avatars are digital creations, usually designed to look and function like humans. Avatars can be created in many different video games online. These games are free to download, and making an account and avatar are free as well. Some of them make you buy houses with real money by buying in-game credits or dollars.
Instructions
1. Build an avatar home in "Second Life." Make an account for free and download the "Second Life" program. Go to the "Developed Property" option in the game. Find a house that you would like to buy. The price will be listed in Linden Dollars. To obtain Linden Dollars, buy them with real money through a credit card transaction on "Second Life's" website.

2. Design your living space in "Habbo Hotel." Sign up for a free account on Habbo's website. Once you have created an account, you can make an avatar and design rooms to your liking. Go to the "Room-O-Matic" in the Hotel Navigator. You can paint the room and add such things as video games for you and your friends to play.
3. Download Kaneva, a free program. Make a free account and create your own avatar.
By making an account, you automatically get a home for free called the City Loft. This is your main area and you will start here when you play. Paint the home whatever color you want. Add picture frames, televisions and more with credits, which can be bought using a credit card.
