Types of Styles
America's historic homes include those built in the Victorian, Arts and Crafts, Colonial and suburban modern styles. Some styles blend classic colors with vivid accents, while others may keep a sunny, optimistic palette throughout.
Suburban Modern
This style was born in the 1950s and featured bright colors. Homes of this style might be orange, yellow or a bright blue with complementing accents.
Colonial
This Colonial home has a soft, yellowish-white base color.

Arts and Crafts
The Arts and Crafts style blends rich colors together for a look that stands out. The style incorporates different pieces from other styles, including Victorian windows, Colonial columns and Mission dormers.
Victorian
