Semi-gloss has a rich shine to the finish when dry but will show imperfections in the painted surface. It is durable, easy to clean and works on trim and moldings, kitchens and bathrooms.
Colors
Ralph Lauren offers over 500 different paint colors. Each color is coordinated with other colors to help with the selection choice. Before choosing a paint color, it is important to decide if you will be using a technique paint or specific finish. Technique paints and finishes are layered on top of a base color; therefore, you will want to talk with a Ralph Lauren professional to determine the best base color to use with an additional color. Once you have narrowed your decision to two or three colors, take a sample home and paint a small area to judge whether or not the colors work well in your home and lighting.
Techniques
Ralph Lauren offers several different paint techniques for use on the walls of your home, including denim, canvas, natural linen, leather, aging, ragging, sponging and colorwashing techniques. Each technique comes with its own set of directions; however, the application is best performed with Ralph Lauren paint applicators. These applicators are designed specifically for the paint technique, and ensure an even application across the walls. When working with technique paint, apply a primer and base coat before applying the technique paint; the base will show through in the technique paint, so pick a technique color similar to the base. Finishes
There are four finishes available through Ralph Lauren: candlelight, suede, river rock and metallic. Every finish can be applied as a top coat to any of the 500 colors.
