Pick The Colour Of The Wooden shutters To Complement A Home

The shutters on your home are a part of the overall exterior design.

Each part of your home is an important part of how its presented to others. The inside of your home is all about matching furniture, accessories and other elements to go with a room's overall d cor. However, you also need to match the colors on the outside of your home. For example, your home's shutters should match the exterior color of the house. This may sound like a simple task, but there are several things you should keep in mind before getting started.

Instructions

1. Choose an original color. The color of your shutters should not be the same color of the house, the trim or the roof, if your roof is visible.

2. Decide if you want to go with black or white shutters. These two colors are very simple and popular because of how easy it is to choose the right color. If you have a dark-colored house, you should have white shutters. Light-colored homes should have black shutters. That's all there is to it!

3. Pick dark brown shutters if you have a light-colored home but you don't want the boldness of completely black shutters.

4. Pick light brown or gray shutters if you want to go with a safe option. These tend to look better with dark-colored houses, but they generally go well with most of the popular base house colors.

5. Choose green or blue shutters to accent a neutral house color. Neutral house colors tend to be more plain, and green or blue shutters can dress up the overall look of the house.

6. Decide if you want a very bold look for your home. Black is a bold choice, but red shutters can be even more prominent. Red goes with most neutral house colors, with the exception of some grays, and will stand out against your house.
