The trim is usualy the most challenging and tedious part of painting a room yourself. This is where the paint edger pad comes in. It allows you to track the trim of your walls more neatly and quickly than if you simply used a brush
Instructions
1. Tape off the areas of the wall you don't want paint to touch. Even though the paint edger is less likely to paint areas you want to avoid, it isn't perfect, so take this preventive measure.
2. Dip the paint edger pad into your paint tray, making sure only the pad of the edger is covered in paint. Scrape off the excess on the side of the paint tray.
3. Position the paint edger against the trim or ceiling with the small rotating wheels against the area you want to avoid painting.
4. Slide the paint edger across the wall, using the wheels to propel you.
5. Reapply paint to your edger when it runs dry. Make sure to keep only a small amount of paint on the edger. Too much paint is going to create a thick coat, and if it dries before the main body of the wall you may have a line of paint around the trim that is thicker than on the rest of the wall.
6. Rinse the pad off once you have completed your painting for the day. You may want to use a paint thinner such as turpentine to clean the pad.
