Aluminum Shutters
Aluminum shutters are often chosen as an alternative to traditional wooden shutters. They are very sturdy and functional. Aluminum shutters are extremely popular in hurricane prone areas, such as Florida and the Gulf Coast. They can withstand heavy wind and rain and when closed, do a great job of protecting the window underneath. Unlike wood, aluminum does not rot and is not as prone to weathering. They can however, rust or decay with years of use. Aluminum shutters are available in various colors and designs and can be repainted when necessary.
