Chocolate Fresh paint A Motorbike

A candy painted motorcycle is beautiful and impressive.

Candy paint is a type of paint that has a deep, rich color full of shine and dimension. Candy painting a motorcycle is easier than many people believe. While there are many kinds of paint available for use on motorcycles, a lacquer paint can get the job done with nearly professional-looking results. The process of painting is extremely slow, so allot at least one or two weeks to the process for best results.

Instructions

1. Sand the old paint off the motorcycling using a small disc sander and 80 grit sanding discs. This process could take several hours. Wear a vapor mask and safety goggles as you work and sand outdoors if possible.

2. Spray the primer onto the surface of the motorcycle. A spray can of metal primer works fine. Sand the surface of the motorcycle with 600 grit sanding discs between coats. Apply two to three coats of primer. Wet sand the final primer coat.

3. Spray the surface of the motorcycle with the candy-colored paint. Do not spray heavy enough to cause drips. If you leave small bits of dry areas this is fine. Wait about half an hour between coats. Apply three to four extremely light coats of paint. Allow the coats to dry for two additional hours.

4. Sand the paint with the 600 grit disk. Sand lightly to buff the surface, but don't press hard enough to remove all of the paint. Wipe the surface of the motorcycle down with soft rags to eliminate dust.

5. Spray one more color coat over the motorcycle to add additional color and depth. Don't worry if the paint looks ugly. It will shine up and look beautiful later. Allow the paint to dry for two hours.

6. Spray three to five very light coats of clear coat over the color, allowing each coat to dry for 30 minutes between coats. Allow the paint to dry for six hours.

7. Sand the motorcycle by hand with the 600 grit paper. Wipe down the surface of the motorcycle with a rag, and continue to buff the surface until there is no shine on the surface of the motorcycle.

8. Spray two more additional clear coats after wiping away the dust. Allow the coats to dry for two to four days.

9. Dip the 1500 grit sandpaper into a bucket of soapy water. Wet sand the entire surface of the motorcycle until the surface is dulled once more.

10. Spread some polishing compound over the surface of the motorcycle. Attach the foam buffing pad to the disc sander and buff the compound into the surface of the motorcycle at about 1500 RPM. Repeat the sanding and buffing process until you are satisfied with the coat.
