Fresh paint An Area Having A Sprayer

Painting a room can be a time-consuming job.

An airless sprayer makes quick work of painting the exterior of a house. But you can use a sprayer to paint the interior of a house, too. Power sprayers usually produce minimal overspray. Still, to achieve a professional-looking paint job, you must take precautions.

Instructions

1. Tape off all of the areas you do not want to paint, such as floor and ceiling molding and window trim, using painter's tape. Cover all of the molding, not just the edge.

2. Place drop cloths on any furniture left in the room. Spread drop cloths on the floor.

3. Mix the paint or primer in the can with a stir stick and fill the power sprayer with the interior paint or primer.

4. Spray the walls, going from left to right. Use long, even strokes while keeping the sprayer at a right angle to the wall. Keep the nozzle about 8 to 12 inches away from the wall and overlap your stokes by 30 percent. Depending on the height of your ceiling, use a ladder to reach the upper portion of the wall. A ladder will help you maintain even strokes and keep the sprayer at the correct distance from the wall.
