Fresh paint A Yard Flag

Yard flags come in different shapes and sizes.

A yard flag flapping in a gentle breeze can add a personalized, decorative element to the exterior space of your home or business. Using paint provides an alternative for decorating the flag for those not skilled in sewing and embroidery. Make several flags and switch them throughout the year for variety.

Instructions

1. Draw or roughly sketch out the design that you'll be painting on your yard flag. This gives you a visual model to follow during the painting process.

2. Place a blank canvas flag onto the surface where you plan to paint.

3. Use exterior-grade acrylic paint brushes to create your artistic design or picture on the yard flag. This type of paint is designed to hold up to humidity and other natural elements, making it ideal for outdoor flags. Stick to brushes with synthetic bristles as the alkaline nature of acrylic paints is hard on natural bristles.
