Learn stain with a Wagner Power Painter.
Staining is a method of applying color or a clear protection layer to wood or other materials without using paint. Using a Wagner Power Painter is an excellent way to evenly and quickly apply a layer of paint. Stain is thinner than paint, however, and if you try to apply it via a Wagner Power Painter, the stain will apply unevenly. The solution is to use a Wagner Power Products Stain Spray Tip on the Power Painter.
Instructions
1. Turn the default paint spray tip by turning it counterclockwise to the left until the tip comes off. A tool is not necessary for this.
2. Install the stain spray tip by turning the tip clockwise on the thread on the Wagner power painter until the connection is secure and tight.
3. Unscrew the material container by turning it counterclockwise until it releases from the Wagner power painter. You can do this by hand.
4. Pour the stain into the material container. Don't fill it more than ¾ full with stain.
5. Reattach the material container by turning it clockwise along the same threaded part of the Wagner power painter where you removed the power painter.
6. Plug in the power painter.
7. Squeeze the trigger to release the stain from the material container. The optimal distance to hold the power painter is 10 to 14 inches from the object you want to stain.
