Use Styles In Illustrator

In Adobe Photoshop, a graphic editing program by Adobe, users have the option of adding "styles" to their work. Styles are graphics, such as patterns and textures, that can be used the same way a color is used. Instead of using boring, solid colors to create an image, you can use bubbles, flames, snakeskin--all sorts of graphics that make your work look more interesting and professional.

Instructions

1. Open an existing document you want to edit or a blank document in Photoshop.

2. Click "New" on the "Layer" menu. Click "Layer." A new blank layer will open over your background layer.

3. Click "Styles" under the "Window" menu.

4. Browse the different styles. Select one by clicking on it.

5. Choose a tool in the toolbar, such as a paintbrush, paint bucket or text. Use the tool on the layer. It will appear as the pattern of the style you chose, rather than the color you were previously using.

6. Open a new layer over the current one to use another style.
