Colors Of Fiber Cement Siding

Cement siding can be molded to look like wood.

Fiber cement siding is made with cement, cellulosic fibers and sand. Although brittle until installed, fiber cement siding is very durable. It is considerably cheaper than comparable stone products and requires less maintenance than wood, which it can be made to resemble. Fiber cement is relatively environmentally friendly; it can be made with sustainable materials and requires replacing at longer intervals. It can be prefinished in a range of colors and readily accepts water-based acrylic paints.

This manufacturer makes a range of fiber cement siding products. They offer various finishes and several different colors. Navajo Beige is a warm creamy beige, whereas Sandstone Beige has a little more green in it. Cobblestone is a cooler beige with more gray. Harris Cream is another neutral, being a yellow-cream tone. Parkside Pine is a strong deep green. More muted greens are available, such as Mountain Sage, which is a brown-green tone, and Heathered Moss, a gentle mid-brown with a green tint. Boothbay Blue is a clear blue-gray color. For those who prefer a stronger blue color there is Evening Blue, a cool blue with a lot of gray. Iron Gray is a dark shade, almost black in color.

For a strong statement, there are two rich red shades. Traditional Red is is a brighter shade, rather like new red bricks. Countrylane Red is deeper and more towards the blue end of the spectrum.
