Remove Acrylic Fresh paint From Glass

Use vinegar to remove acrylic paints from glass.

Cleaning acrylic paints from glass is fairly easy, depending upon how large the painted area is and what kind of glass surface has been painted. However, it is important to take care when removing acrylic paint from glass in order to avoid scratching the glass. Chemical paint removers are not recommended for this reason. Additionally, some water-based acrylic paints can simply be washed off with warm, soapy water, so identify what paint you used before beginning.

Instructions

1. Use a sharp razor blade or scraper to carefully scrape as much paint as possible from the glass surface.

2. Heat about 1/2 cup (more for larger painted areas) of either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar over the stove until hot but not boiling.

3. Dip a clean rag into the hot vinegar and wipe away any paint that could not be scraped off. Wash the glass as usual afterwards.
