Italian Fresh paint Colors

Paint colors from Italy reflect the beauty of the old country.

Use Italian-influenced paint colors to bring the warmth of the Tuscan countryside into your home. Italian colors are pleasant and inviting, and reflect the bounty of nature, from ocher to sage green and just about everything in between. Today's Italian paint colors are a great way to beautify and enhance your home and make it more appealing.

Tuscan Red

Tuscan red, derived from the earth, is appropriate as an accent color or on entire walls to liven up a space. It has a bit of brown but isn't overpowering. Tuscan red works well in a kitchen environment, where red is thought to stimulate the appetite. Paint one wall or focal point a deep Tuscan red, and leave the other walls a natural stone color.

Sage Green

Sage green is a perennial favorite of Italian designers. Sage green works well with other rich Italian colors such as Tuscan red or cream, and provides a cooling and calming effect. Use sage green for large expanses of wall space to provide an almost neutral backdrop for artwork or furniture.

Gold Ocher

Gold ocher is a luscious Italian inspired color appropriate for use throughout the home. It provides a neutral setting and works well in almost any room in the home. Use gold ocher as an accent color with natural stone to create a soothing effect. When combined with warmer colors such as red or terra cotta, gold ocher balances and provides a counterpoint.

Olive Green

Use olive green paint in the kitchen or dining areas for a natural look. Olive green paint coordinates well with many paint colors, especially terra cotta, earthy reds and ocher. Olive green acts as a neutral color, providing a calming backdrop for more dramatic shades. This color evokes the feeling of being outdoors.

Terra Cotta

Terra cotta paint brings a sense of intimacy to a room. Terra cotta paint sponged onto plaster walls evokes a casual atmosphere and relaxed attitude. Combine with cream or beige for a tranquil blend.
